Steve Hammond
Facilities & Planning Manager, Major supplier of patient information, products & research.

Due to the sensitivity of the data Steve’s company handles, there are many levels of protection needed for his facility. That is where Keystone Fire Protection Company comes in. Keystone has been supporting the facility since 1979 when the building was first constructed.

Keystone handles many services for Steve including their halon, fire detection, alarm panels, smoke detectors, stand pipes, fire hoses and extinguishers. In fact, they had always been responsible for their halon; but when Steve had a problem with the company who serviced their fire alarm system Keystone was there to take over.

Steve thinks the best qualities of working with Keystone are their workmanship and their proactive approach. “I can always trust the quality of their work. When I needed a new fire panel, their quote was less than half the cost of repairing the old panel! That was unbelievable. Also, they are really good at answering specific needs. In fact, they created a custom design for my data center. They built a water detection system into my computer room panels, to monitor flooding.”

Keystone is extremely knowledgeable about fire safety and provides good advice. “They have always advised me well on avoiding problems. Building operators always worry because Licensing & Inspection can come in and say this needs to be done yesterday or we&rqsuo;ll lock your doors. I am confident if that happens it will be handled, because I am able to trust Keystone’s advice.”
